Louboutin
PARIS: There is a moment in "Palais Royal," France's current funny, feel-good movie, when the Princess Diana figure, spoofed by Valérie Lemercier, shows a clean pair of heels. Red heels. As she walks gleefully down the road, holding her daughter by the hand, the flash of scarlet sends out a subliminal message to shoe princesses everywhere: Christian Louboutin.
Cinderella may have cornered the market in glass slippers, but Louboutin, a designer with an elegant shoebox of a store in Paris, must bless the day that he brightened up a classic pair of pumps by painting the sole and inside heel with red nail polish. That signature kick-started his 13-year-old shoe company, and this single detail gives a personal twist to his imaginative inventions.
The Oprah Winfrey show featured Christian Louboutin and a collection of his shoes in a show dedicated to 'the face behind the name', Louboutins were on display around the set, with Oprah Winfrey describing the shoes as pieces of art.
Louboutin has recently collaborated with famous photographer David Lynch and they have created an exhibition of shoes by Louboutin, they are on show at the Pierre Passebon Gallery. The exhibition is named 'Fetish'.
Despite the fact that he has only recently come into the limelight, Louboutin has taken the shoe and fashion world by storm. Instantly recognizable and incredibly sexy, these shoes are desired by women everywhere. There really isn’t anything that can add as much sex appeal to a woman as a pair of Louboutins. Slipping on a pair of these babies can transform you from bored housewife to sex goddess in an instant.
